10 best free stock photos websites

There is plenty of online places where you can find photos you can use for personal and commercial purposes, so here is my PERSONAL LIST of best places to look for awesome images for your business social media, blog posts, websites, and they are all FREE!


1. StockSnap

StockSnap has a large selection of beautiful free stock images. The site also has a very handy search feature making it easy to browse through the thousands of images available. All photos are released under Creative Commons public domain, so no attribution is required. What I also like about StockSnap, is that’s you don’t need to sign up (how cool is that!), just click and download the image straight to your PC.


2. Gratisography

I love this website! Quirky, unique, artistic, eye-catching photos. All pictures were photographed by Ryan McGuire and are free of copyright restrictions.
Looking for funny images that will add humour and make your posts stand out – Gratisography is the place to check!


3. Unsplash

Large collection of free high-resolution photos carefully selected by the Unsplash Team, so you don’t need to browse through bad quality images. All photos are released for free under the Unsplash license.


4. Kaboompics

Awesome resource for high-quality photos. Kaboompics search engine is perfect for branding, especially if you want to keep your images in one colour scheme. Great source of images for lifestyle, interior design and other specialized blogs. You can download the photo in three different sizes: original, medium or custom to adjust the photo accordingly.


5. Magdeleine

Photos that don’t look like free stock photos. These images will make perfect use for a life coaching posts, quotations background or as images for a website. Search based on colours and tags. Perfect if you want to keep your images consistent in one, specific colour palette or style. You’ll find here a lot of original photos you don’t see in other places!


6. Foodiesfeed

Selection of free beautiful photos for foodies, healthy-lifestyle bloggers and others. No need to sign up, you can just click and download the image.


7. StyledStock

Feminine stock photography for woman entrepreneurs. Selection of a these styled pics isn’t huge but photos are really nice, not cheesy and will make a perfect background for a heading, short text or quotation.


8. Pixabay

Very popular free images resource, offering not just images but also vectors and art illustrations. Over 320,000! Images are released under Creative Commons Zero CC0. Be aware that a lot of people using these pictures.


9. Burst

Great stock photos for new entrepreneurs. Images are related to workplace and business and group into very handy collections. All photos are licensed under Creative Commons Zero CC0.


10. New Old Stock

Collection of vintage photos from the public archive via Flickr Commons. Photos are free of any known copyright restrictions, so they are safe to use for things like blog posts for example. A place to check whenever you need a good black & white or vintage photo.
